China's pure cotton yarn production capacity distribution is "four legged confrontation", regional product structure is different
China is the largest cotton spinning producer in the world, and its cotton spinning capacity accounts for about half of the total scale of global cotton spinning. The domestic pure cotton yarn accounts for the largest proportion. According to Longzhong tracking and monitoring, pure cotton yarn production areas are widely distributed in China, mainly concentrated in Shandong, Xinjiang, Henan and Jiangsu. Shandong's pure cotton yarn production capacity accounts for 20.75% of the country's total, while Xinjiang, Henan and Jiangsu's pure cotton yarn production capacity accounts for more than 10% of the national level (see figure below). For example, Fujian, Hubei, Hebei, Zhejiang and other provinces also have many pure cotton yarn production enterprises. However, with the development of the industrial structure of the textile industry and the survival of the fittest in regional competition, the number of pure cotton yarn production enterprises in these regions has gradually decreased, and the number of leading scale yarn enterprises in the industry is very few.
According to the investigation on the regional distribution and industrial structure development of the four distribution regions, the conclusions are as follows:
Table distribution and industrial structure development of main cotton yarn producing areas in China

Problems within the industry
Future development direction
Shandong
Dezhou, Liaocheng, Heze, Weifang, Binzhou, Dongying, Jinan, etc

It is difficult to finance, increase the cost of production elements, difficult to recruit workers, serious homogenization of products, extrusion of imported yarn share and increase of chemical fiber substitution
Medium and short term: survival of the fittest;
Long term: increase of differentiated yarn; extend development with the help of industrial chain.

The main production areas of pure cotton yarn in Shandong are Dezhou, Liaocheng, Heze, Weifang, Binzhou, Dongying, Jinan and other areas, of which Dezhou, Liaocheng and Heze are the most concentrated. The scale and number of pure cotton yarn production enterprises in other areas are quite different from those in the three urban areas. In terms of product structure, Shandong pure cotton yarn presents a diversified situation, including medium and low count yarn, medium and low high-end yarn, rotor spinning, ring spinning, general carding yarn, combed yarn, combed compact spinning, combed compact spinning, combed compact spinning, etc., and formed a certain "product circle".
Xinjiang pure cotton yarn is mainly produced in Shihezi, Kuitun, Wusu, Shawan, Korla, Aksu, etc., which are mainly distributed in the main cotton areas. The products are mainly semi combed and combed yarn, that is, the pure cotton yarn is mainly medium and high-end yarn.
Henan pure cotton yarn is mainly produced in Xinye, Nanyang, Wugang, Zhoukou and other regions, of which Xinye and Nanyang are more concentrated. Pure cotton yarn also presents a diversified situation, but relatively speaking, the medium and low-end pure cotton yarn occupies the mainstream position.
Jiangsu pure cotton yarn is mainly produced in Yancheng, Wuxi, Nantong, Suzhou, Zhangjiagang and other regions, and its products focus on medium and high-end yarns. It belongs to the main area of textile printing and dyeing.
For a long time, the domestic pure cotton yarn industry has faced many problems, both internal and external problems. If integrated, there are mainly difficulties in financing, increasing production factor costs, difficult recruitment, serious homogenization of products, extrusion of imported yarn share, and increase of chemical fiber substitution. No matter which one of these problems is, it is difficult to solve them immediately. Some of them are accompanied by the development of the industry, and some are inevitable after the industry has experienced mature development.
In the future, the survival of the fittest is the most effective and inevitable development choice for enterprises in the industry. The small-scale yarn enterprises, whose products are mainly from the mainland and lack of market competitiveness, are bound to "flee" in the face of adversity. The integration and differential development of industry enterprises is the way out at present or in the future.
China is a big textile country, and China's textile industry is more and more high-end. This is especially true of our polyester yarn.
