Polyester staple fiber is a kind of fiber which is made of polyester (polyethylene terephthalate, pet for short, polymerized by PTA and MEG) and then spun into tow and cut off.

Key Points for Safety Production Management of PET staple fiber and PET filament

I. process description

1.1 to produce polyester staple fiber, polyester (PET) melt is used as raw material to be sent to spinning machine; or polyester chip is used as raw material to be sent to spinning machine after drying and melting, and then it is gathered, stretched, shaped, curled, cut, packed to get polyester staple fiber.

1.2 to produce polyester melt yarn, polyester chips are used as raw materials and sent to the spinning machine after drying and melting; or polyester melt is used as raw materials and sent to the spinning machine to obtain stretch twisting yarn, stretch deformation yarn, air deformation yarn and full draft yarn after different post-treatment.

Polyester staple and polyester filament are combustible. Heat carrier biphenyls are flammable, explosive and toxic.

II. Safety points

2.1 control the operation of slice drying and melt spinning to promote stable operation.

2.2 the screw extrusion melt spinning is heated by biphenyl heat carrier. When biphenyl is heated up, it needs to exhaust slowly to avoid bringing biphenyl out; during exhaust, it is strictly prohibited to approach with open fire and exhaust into the room to avoid fire and poisoning.The temperature of this post is high, so we should do a good job of prevention and control.

2.3 the winding speed of the winder is very high, and it is easy to bring the hook in a little carelessly during the operation, causing flying hook to hurt people. Therefore, operators should be educated to concentrate on operation and stand in a favorable safety position to avoid flying hook injury.When winding to the waste wire roller, if there are several bundles of wires already wound on the roller, a hand shall be used to hold the original bundle when rewinding again, so as to avoid the flying hook caused by the hook being rolled in by the bundle.When cutting the waste wire on the waste wire roller, be sure to hold the brake device with the foot pedal, and use the knot cutter to cut the waste wire after it stops stably.

2.4 it is strictly prohibited to stand under the frame when raising and lowering the bundle frame.

2.5 when handling the draft winding roller, it must be slowed down or stopped. When hooking wire, concentrate on hooking wire at the exit to prevent hooking hand.

2.6 pay attention that the oil agent cannot overflow, and wash it in time once it spills out of the ground, so as to prevent walking and slipping.

2.7 when the cutting machine starts to lift its head, the hand holds the wire head and feeds it into the cutting hook wheel. If the cooperation is improper, it is easy to cause the hand has not left, the console has started, and the hand is brought in, causing the hand cutting accident. Therefore, the operation of the cut-off machine must be closely coordinated, and it must be started after the hand leaves.

2.8 in the process of packing, the main gland should be wrapped properly during shutdown, and then the main gland should be raised. Never put on the main gland wrapping cloth when raising the gland to prevent hand squeezing.

2.9 do a good job in fire prevention of fiber warehouse.

2.10 "shawl hair" is not allowed to work. Women workers should cover their hair in their work hats, and they are not allowed to wear high-heeled shoes or hand ornaments.

2.11 the workshop is noisy, pay attention to personal protection.

2.12 the maintenance workers shall wear protective articles to prevent scalding when they go to the high temperature post for inspection.
