Performance of polyester filament thread: high strength. The strength of short fibers is 2.6-5.7 cN/dtex and that of high strength fibers is 5.6-8.0 cN/dtex. Because of its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength is basically the same as that of dry strength. 

The impact strength filament thread is 4 times higher than nylon and 20 times higher than viscose. 

Good flexibility. Elasticity is close to wool, and when the elongation is 5% - 6%, it can almost completely recover. 

Wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric does not wrinkle and has good dimensional stability. 

The elastic modulus of filament thread is 22-141cN/dtex, which is 2-3 times higher than nylon. 

Good water absorption. The wear resistance of nylon fibers is second only to that of polyamide fibers with wear resistance, better than that of synthetic fibers with other natural fibers, and the light resistance of nylon fibers is second only to that of acrylic fibers. 

Corrosion resistance. It is resistant to bleaching, oxidizing agents, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. 

Resistant to dilute alkali, not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can decompose it. The dyeing property is poor.

Polyester fabrics filament thread have poor hygroscopicity, hot feeling, static electricity and dirt, which affect the beauty and comfort. 

However, it is easy to dry after washing, and the wet strength hardly decreases. 

It does not deform and has good washability and wearability. Polyester filament thread is a heat-resistant fabric of synthetic fabrics. 

Its melting point is 260 C and ironing temperature is 180 C. 

It has thermoplasticity and can be made into pleated skirt with long pleats. 

At the same time, polyester fabrics filament thread have poor solubility and are prone to form holes in the presence of soot and Mars. 

Therefore, the contact of cigarette ends and sparks should be avoided as far as possible. 

The light resistance of polyester fabric filament thread is better than that of natural fiber fabric except acrylic fiber. 

Especially in the back of the glass, the sun resistance is very good, almost equal to acrylic fibers. Polyester fabrics filament thread have good chemical resistance. 

Acids and alkalis do not destroy it to a great extent, and they are not afraid of moulds and moths. Polyester fabric filament thread has good wrinkle resistance and shape retention, so it is suitable for making coats.
