China's clothing export fell in the first four months and textile export growth

According to customs statistics, the total value of China's import and export of goods in the first four months of this year was 9.07 trillion yuan, down 4.9% from the same period last year (the same below), and the decline was 1.5 percentage points lower than the first quarter. Among them, export was 4.74 trillion yuan, down 6.4%; import was 4.33 trillion yuan, down 3.2%; and trade surplus was 415.7 billion yuan, down 30.4%. In dollar terms, China's total import and export value in the first four months was $1.3 trillion, down 7.5%. Among them, the export was 678.28 billion US dollars, down 9%; the import was 620.05 billion US dollars, down 5.9%; the trade surplus was 58.23 billion US dollars, down 32.6%.

In April, China's foreign trade import and export reached 2.5 trillion yuan, down 0.7% year-on-year; among them, export reached 1.41 trillion yuan, up 8.2%; import reached 1.09 trillion yuan, down 10.2%; and trade surplus reached 318.15 billion yuan, up 2.6 times. In April, China's foreign trade import and export reached 355.22 billion US dollars, down 5%; of which, export reached 2002.8 billion US dollars, up 3.5%; import reached 154.94 billion US dollars, down 14.2%; and trade surplus reached 45.34 billion US dollars, up 2.5 times.

The proportion of import and export of general trade increased. In the first four months, China's general trade import and export reached 5.43 trillion yuan, down 4.6%, accounting for 59.8% of China's total foreign trade, up 0.2 percentage points from the same period last year. Among them, export was 2.77 trillion yuan, down 6.3%; import was 2.66 trillion yuan, down 2.7%. In the same period, the import and export of processing trade reached 2.18 trillion yuan, down 8.4%. Among them, export was 1.35 trillion yuan, down 10.9%; import was 833.3 billion yuan, down 4.2%. In addition, China's import and export by bonded logistics reached 1.11 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.2%, accounting for 12.2% of China's total foreign trade. Among them, export was 359.11 billion yuan, up 1.9%; import was 746.26 billion yuan, down 0.6%.

ASEAN one belt, one road and one country along the way, the growth of imports and exports has declined, and the import and export of EU, the United States and Japan have declined. ASEAN was China's largest trading partner in the first four months, with a total value of 1.35 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.7%, accounting for 14.9% of China's total foreign trade. Among them, China's export to ASEAN reached 740.9 billion yuan, an increase of 3.9%; its import from ASEAN reached 608.51 billion yuan, an increase of 8%; its trade surplus with ASEAN reached 132.39 billion yuan, a decrease of 11.5%. EU is the second largest trade partner of China. The total value of trade between China and EU is 1.23 trillion yuan, down 6.5%, accounting for 13.6% of China's total foreign trade. Among them, China's export to the EU was 719.01 billion yuan, down 6.6%; its import from the EU was 515.56 billion yuan, down 6.4%; its trade surplus with the EU was 203.45 billion yuan, down 7.1%.

The import and export of private enterprises increased and their proportion increased. In the first four months, the import and export of private enterprises reached 3.92 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.5%, accounting for 43.2% of China's total foreign trade, 2.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Among them, the export was 2.45 trillion yuan, down 2.7%, accounting for 51.7% of the total export value; the import was 1.47 trillion yuan, up 6.5%, accounting for 33.8% of the total import value. During the same period, the import and export of foreign-funded enterprises reached 3.6 trillion yuan, down 7.2%, accounting for 39.6% of China's total foreign trade. Among them, export was 1.81 trillion yuan, down 10.7%; import was 1.79 trillion yuan, down 3.3%. In addition, the import and export of state-owned enterprises reached 1.52 trillion yuan, down 10.9%, accounting for 16.8% of China's total foreign trade. Among them, the export was 469.1 billion yuan, down 6.5%; the import was 1.05 trillion yuan, down 12.8%.

Exports of mechanical and electrical products and clothing fell, while exports of textiles increased. In the first four months, China's export of mechanical and electrical products reached 2.79 trillion yuan, down 5.9%, accounting for 58.8% of the total export value. Among them, the export of automatic data processing equipment and its parts reached 370.67 billion yuan, down 6.6%; the export of mobile phones reached 215.38 billion yuan, down 7.8%. Over the same period, textile exports, including masks, reached 261.3 billion yuan, up 5.9%; clothing, 205.1 billion yuan, down 20.2%; plastic products, 139.87 billion yuan, down 0.4%; furniture, 93.23 billion yuan, down 15.7%; footwear, 67.43 billion yuan, down 24.4%; toys, 43.69 billion yuan, down 13.5%; luggage, 40.43 billion yuan, down 23.4%. In addition, 20.601 million tons of steel were exported, down 11.7%; 319000 vehicles (including chassis) were exported, down 7.2%.

Imports of iron ore, crude oil, coal, natural gas, soybeans and other commodities increased, while the average import price of bulk commodities rose and fell. In the first four months, China imported 360 million tons of iron ore, an increase of 5.4%, with an average import price of 631.1 yuan per ton, an increase of 10%; 170 million tons of crude oil, an increase of 1.7%, with an average import price of 2906.7 yuan per ton, a decrease of 8.9%; 130 million tons of coal, an increase of 26.9%, with an average import price of 510.1 yuan per ton, a decrease of 4.9%; 32.228 million tons of natural gas, an increase of 1.5%, with an average import price of 2702.5 yuan per ton, a decrease of 15%; 24.506 million tons of soybeans, an increase of 0.05% 5%, the average import price is 2798.4 yuan per ton, down 2.8%; the average import price is 9290.4 yuan per ton, down 7.9%; the product oil is 9.613 million tons, down 21.3%, the average import price is 3486.8 yuan per ton, down 5.5%; the steel is 4.184 million tons, up 7.4%, the average import price is 7336.9 yuan per ton, down 11.5%; the unwrought copper and copper are 1.748 million tons, up 10.4%, The average import price was 43000 yuan per ton, down 4.7%.
